Psychopop was formed in the late 90’s and was the most successful of the bands I’ve been in.  Subsequently, there’s lots of images, recordings, etc.  Click here!

I was hired to do post processing of the raw voice recordings for the game First To Fight: Close Combat (released in 2005).  It was a good gig and lasted quite a few months.  I was also happy to have my first (and only) video game credit.  The creators at Destineer are still around (I think) www.destineerstudios.com

Pondo Sinatra was the punk band I played guitar in during the early to mid 90’s.  Click for songs, images, and the bands story.

Short film: Committed (2005)

Produced, written, and directed by Ryder Seeler (visit his website here).

I was the location sound mixer.

I like the perverse undertones to what at first glance is a pretty normal film.

Series Pilot of Abnormally Normal

Episode Name: Just Breathe (2005)

Written & Directed by Julie Rappaport

Production Company: Smokin’ Yogi Visions

I was hired as the location sound mixer.

I haven’t seen anything beyond this trailer so I can’t comment on the film.  During shooting it struck me as sort of a Lifetime network kind of thing.  Actually, the trailer does too so I’m pretty sure that’s what they were going for.  I have no idea what became of the series.

Short film: H-E-N-R-Y (2006)

Written & Directed by William Kruse

Production Company: Rebel Filmworks

I was hired as the boom operator (something I never do for free).

This is one of those cases where some very talented filmmakers came together to make a movie that’s very easy on the eyes.  A good little film.

It’s only available on their site.  Click here to see it.

Fake film trailer: The Dead Won’t Die (2007)

Directed by Todd Cobery

Produced by Brady Kiernan

Director of Photography Wilson Webb

Art Director Sarah Kruchowski

Edited by Sam Heyn

I did location sound mixing.

This is one of my all time favorite projects and due to the success of the trailer in the SXSW Grindhouse Trailer Competition (it was selected by Robert Rodriguez as one of 3 finalists and screened at his grindhouse 101 panel) I partnered with Todd and Brady and wrote a feature length screenplay based on it.  The script is done and Brady and Todd are courting investors.

Short film: Fear of Girls 3 (three parts so click here to see parts 2 and 3 of episode 3) (2008).

Written & Directed by Ryan Wood

Produced by Jason Wallace

Production Company: Dangerously Adorable Productions

I am good friends with Ryan Wood.  He asked me to be the location sound mixer for episode 3.

The Fear of Girls series has been wildly successful.  So much so that it’s the subject of episode 2 in my documentary series Microscopic Life.

Intuitive is a Minneapolis based recording studio where I worked as an assistant recording engineer and sound designer from 1999 to 2001(ish).

Owned by Mike Olson, this job represented my first break into professional (paid) production work.  I learned an incredible amount during my time there and it started my niche as a sound guy (though I did get a degree in sound as well so MCTC gets some credit).

I’d love to share some of the projects I worked on (two are still on his website) but it’s all flash so I can’t link to it.  Click here to visit the site and go to the portfolio section.

I worked on the Speiros promo for Cyrus Intersoft (primarily as a boom operator) and ATV Rally which was an interactive cd-rom promoting ATV safety (this was my favorite project as I did a lot of sound design on it).

If you need sound recording or music services of any kind, you should consider Intuitive.

Short film: Stuff’d (2006)

Written & Directed by Andrew Hunt & Jason Lausche

Production Company: Sleepy Eye

I volunteered to be the location sound mixer for Andy and Jason’s entry into the 48 Hour Film competition (as an aside, you might recognize Andy from the reality show “On The Lot”).  For those that don’t know about the 48 Hour Film competition, participation involves making a film in 48 hours.  I love Stuff’d and have great memories of working on it but I will never ever do another 48 hour film...It’s basically torture.
